Last week we headed to Clerkenwell Design Week and as always, the design community didn’t disappoint. From soft shapes to thoughtful materials, here are a few things that caught our attention.
The rise of the ottoman
From showrooms to pop-ups, low stools and ottomans were out in full force. We loved seeing how versatile and purposeful these pieces felt, adding softness and flexibility to spaces and making them more welcoming.

A shift towards lounging
Design is leaning into comfort, and it showed throughout CDW. Oversized armchairs, deep seats, corner sofas, gigantic bean bags – the kind of furniture that makes you want to take a moment and settle in. We’re looking forward to seeing more projects bring this concept to life.

Material moodboards
Materials took centre stage – whether on stands, in showrooms, or across moodboards. Layers of fabric swatches, metal finishes, timber tones, and recycled elements gave a real sense of texture and story. It’s a great reminder that the feel of a space starts with these early, tactile choices.

Sustainability at the heart of design
As expected, sustainability was front and centre across CDW 2025. Many brands took the opportunity to break down their products, showing exactly how each component plays a role in reducing environmental impact. Seeing this level of transparency and care was encouraging, and it aligns closely with our own commitment to sustainable, thoughtful furniture solutions.

Green is having a moment
Sage green was everywhere at Clerkenwell this year. Soft, calm, and incredibly versatile, we spotted it on everything from fabrics to frames. It pairs beautifully with natural textures and works across sectors.

It’s always inspiring to visit Clerkenwell Design Week. A reminder of how creativity, innovation, and thoughtful design continue to shape the spaces we live and work in. If something caught your eye too, we’d love to hear about it!
