Canopy Kitchen and Courtyard

We were delighted to work on the stunning refurbishment of the Canopy Kitchen and Courtyard at Edinburgh University, recently featured in the New York Times as a must-visit spot in the city. More than just a restaurant, this venue is a hub where community, creativity, and cultural collaboration come together. It’s the perfect place for students, friends, and families to gather, study, or simply enjoy good food.

Protocol contributed a range of furniture pieces including the Hug Sofa, Buddy Coffee Table, Nigiri Barstools, and more. By offering different seating options, the space gives guests the flexibility to enjoy a relaxed coffee, catch up with friends, or sit down for a meal in comfort.

These additions helped bring the design vision to life – blending natural elements indoors with neutral tones, wood, and metal finishes to create a calm, tranquil atmosphere and a strong connection to nature. The result is a welcoming space that makes you feel instantly relaxed as you enter Canopy Kitchen and Courtyard.
