Salone del Mobile returned stronger than ever this year to celebrate its 60th anniversary. The show was organized around inclusive design and highlighting the fundamental opportunities and responsibilities of environmental responsibility.
As the first major face-to-face event to take place since the pandemic, the Protocol team were excited to be in Milan, exploring new design trends and innovations, sourcing new furniture models and catching up with key suppliers. With so many beautiful new furniture ranges launched, we wanted to share some of our favorites from the show with you.
Hug
The Hug collection is made from certified regenerated post-consumer technolpoymer so offers high quality as well as being eco-friendly. The collection includes a side chair and armchair that can be enjoyed both indoor and outdoors. The addition of a seat cushion and padded band covered in fabric around the arm and backrest increases comfort and adds to the luxury aesthetic.
Hullahoop
The Hullahoop is a distinguishable and elegant seating collection reminiscent of the hullahoop game. Offered in 2 versions with an upholstered and non-upholstered backrest, the armchair is ideal for furnishing a range of contract environments.
Stack and Combo
Presenting Stack and Combo, a collection of eco-friendly, contemporary and 100% recyclable outdoor stools and tables. With a linear design and extra thick sections inspired by strips of wood, the stackable Stack stool and the Combo table (both available in two heights) stand out for their sturdiness, safety and ergonomics.
Glitter
The Glitter table oozes simplicity and practicality. The sturdy steel structure with its three support points is also available at dining and poseur height and features essential minimalist design, in order to fit in discreetly to any environment. Bases are in epoxy powder coated steel and can be treated for use in outdoor environments.
Úti
The new Rope version of the Úti takes on a Mediterranean mood with its painted iron frame covered with an elegant waterproof nautical rope which wraps around the seat and backrest. Úti Rope is available with or without armrests, perfect for use in outdoor contexts.
Belle
The Belle features a round seat and curved, wraparound backrest that embraces the body. Completely upholstered, Belle is customised through its finishes and bases to suit different environments – from restaurants and bars to workplaces.
Bloom
The Bloom is a versatile modular sofa collection available in multiple different combinations. The collection features a metal structure that combines support and aesthetic with padded cushions and backrests made of 3D knitted fabric. The collection also includes a series of tables and coffee tables that are created with the same aesthetic-structural concept to meet all the needs of an outdoor space.
